Scripture Letters (Dear Adam West)

Dear Adam West:

I read of your passing today, and I'm glad you had 88 years to grace us with your life and work. Also, I remember of what The Bible says about those who reach old age, (Psalm 90:10) and even though I don't know if you were a Christian or not, I still thank God(1 Thessalonians 5:18) that you had such a long life to live and achieve the things you wanted in this world's journey. Furthermore, when I read about your fight with leukemia, I was also reminded of our Lord's words to keep up the good fight and to keep the faith until the end. (1 Timothy 6:12)  I know wherever you are, eternity has just started. But for those of us who remain in this world and remember the super-hero you portrayed in Batman, it's also a call to reignite our allegiance and love(Psalms 51:12-13) to the One who is and forever will be the supreme ruler of all that there was, is, and will ever be. Mr. West: Your fictional character fought villains on TV, but we have a very real King who has conquered death by His obedience to God.(Philippians 2:6-8)
And because of that, we have the privilege, as His heirs, to walk in that same victory that was given to us by Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection from the dead.(Ephesians 3:6) And for that, I and many others are eternally grateful. He is the world's true Hero! (1 Timothy 6:15)
