About

Hi! I'm Bart. Welcome to my blog, Tales of Mel.

The name for this blog came from the inspiration of Melchizedek in the Bible who the writer of Hebrews says has no beginning nor ending of days. Most people agree that this Melchizedek was the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ who met Abraham back in the book of Genesis.

I'm a born again Christian, and I've been writing since I was a teenager. Christianity is a genre that I enjoy to explore with my writing whether it's fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. It's my personal opinion that a lot of Christian literature is watered down and fails to show the Person and work of Christ in the reality of evil we live in today. Or it goes way over the top with obscenity that would make even some of the most coarse of us pause. This blog gives the promise that you, the reader, might or might not get any of those things in my writing.

Nevertheless, God is still worthy to receive the glory. And it's for that reason I've launched this blog.

So with your prayers and your continual support in visiting this page,  perhaps this project can be a blessing to someone. There are also a few other facets to this blog that I won't get into on this page, but are self-explanatory in the pages they are listed on. Enjoy!
